Dear Bridges to Home MInistry Friends:
I pray that your holiday season was abundantly blessed and joyful, and that there is rich anticipation in the gift of another year in our lives. It is most appropriate to dedicate this year to Our Lord and Savior, the source of all that is good and true in our lives.
Heavenly Father, thank You for making all things new! May we end 2021 with a thankful heart, and start 2022 with peace and faith in the new beginnings that stretch out before us. Help us to live each day for You. No matter what comes our way we have faith that nothing ahead will surprise You. We thank You that Your presence goes before us always, and that Your joy is never dependent on our circumstances. We pray that You will make us strong and courageous for the road ahead. Give us ability beyond what we feel capable.
Give us wisdom to make the best choices, and fill us with the desire, as we seek You, to become more fully aware of how You are at work in and through our lives. We ask that You open doors needing to be opened and close the ones needing to be shut. Help us release our grip on the things to which You have said “no,” or “not yet.” Help us to remain faithful in each and every opportunity You provide to us. We ask that you guide our decisions and turn our hearts to deeply desire You above all else. Empower us to step out in faith so we can bring Your light of hope into our hearts, our homes, our community, and our world. Amen
Bridges to Home has much to be grateful for as we close out 2021 on a very busy note. After ceasing operations in March of 2020 due to the pandemic, we began operations again in June 2021 with protective protocols in place for our teams and our clients. Under that aegis we were able to complete 39 referrals from the VA in Loma Linda, Inland Valley Hope Partners, and Inland Valley Recovery Services. Praise God! All of these individuals came into our lives and made a significant impact on us as we were able to bless them. Our direct connection with them and their connection with us is what causes change to occur in the world.
Grateful acknowledgement to our seemingly inexhaustible teams that form each week and work throughout the week to prepare for the moves and then implement them as scheduled. You are the backbone of this ministry and I pray that God endows you all with continued strength and compassion and His abiding Love. Thankful recognition is given to all who financially support the ministry. Let me take this opportunity to thank those who contributed funds in December: Pam, Annette, Lyndsey & Steve, Amanda & Andrew, Mary O., Barbara M., Charlie, Pat F., Anna Marie, and several anonymous donors. The ministry is deeply indebted to you for your bountiful generosity.
We are excited to swing right back into service with several requests for assistance already in process. Please see the email for details on how your help can continue to change lives and fulfill the covenant made through our baptism in the Lord.
Mary
