Dear Bridges to Home Ministry Friends:
"Give us, O God, a vision of your world as love would make it;
A world where the weak are protected and none go hungry;
A world whose benefits are shared, so that everyone can enjoy them;
A world whose different people and cultures live with tolerance and mutual respect;
A world where peace is built with justice;
And justice is fired with love;
Lord Jesus Christ, give us the courage to build." Anonymous
Sound impossible? As believers we attest that nothing is impossible for God. Millennia have been spent working toward this goal, and perhaps we have millennia to go before it is accomplished. But we are called to play our part during this small fraction of time that we are on this earth to bring what we have to share, to work with the skill and at the pace that we have been gifted, in order that the fire of our love shines brightly in this world. Let us rise up and be the people Christ created us to be so that our miniscule but ever so important role of this dynamic path God has placed us on will reach to the divine goal ahead
Please enjoy the pictures from the moves Bridges to Home completed for Joseph, Christian, and Randy these past two weekends. Joseph is a Navy veteran who spent his time on the USS Enterprise as a parachute rigger and support for the pilots. He recently moved into an apartment with his 14-year-old daughter at March Air Reserve Base. Christian is a veteran of the US Army who was stationed at Fort Bragg and made deployments to Iraq. Randy is a veteran of an 18-year career in the Army, serving as a water purification specialist and part-time cook.
The Bridges to Home Ministry is built on the generosity, compassion, and love its members pour forth for those who turn to us for assistance. These emotions are exhibited in every facet of the ministry, and our gratitude overflows for each and every one of you. Very generous donations have been made to Bridges to Home by Bob & Kathy, Gary & Olga, Mike & Marge, Carol & Nick, Pam, Catie, Marge R., and Bob Mc. Your participation is an immeasurable reason why we can do what we do each week personally touching the hearts and lives of the clients we serve. I can say thank you to you now, but I know you will enjoy the gratitude of Our Lord as you store up treasures in Heaven.
Grant me to recognize in others, Lord God, the radiance of your face. Pierre Teilhard De Chardin
Be assured of my prayers for all of you.
Mary
