Trepidation is defined as a feeling of fear or agitation about something that may happen. You all know how much I love to talk about St. Anthony Bridges to Home, but I recall how filled with trepidation I was on the very first move I did when Dale and Sharon left for Africa and Dale said “You are in charge.” I had never done a move before and was petrified about all the things that could go wrong. How was I supposed to manage a move and lead the team when I knew nothing about it? Of course, all went well because the team didn’t even need me. They knew exactly what they were doing and I just watched in gratitude.
So when I invite people to join us on a move and they seem reticent to do so because of the fear of going to not the most desirable neighborhoods or about so personally interacting with people we don’t even know, I fully get it. The truth is God guides every step of our lives and encourages us to trust Him when venturing into the unknown. This is true of any new experience in life. He bids us to move, to step out, and follow Him. And if we do, the reward far exceeds any expectations we have. His love surpasses all our plans, our hopes, and expectations.
In that light, I share with you how difficult it has been since COVID-19 to staff our move teams with heavy lifters. We have a plethora of light lifters, but often our trusty driver Ron is the only heavy lifter who is scheduled for the moves. I encourage all of you heavy lifters to step out when you are available. You will never be expected to attend any move that is not convenient for you, and if only one additional heavy lifter would volunteer, the teams could be better supported moving the heavier pieces of furniture. If you are hearing the call, trust that it is from a Higher Power than me, and please respond with the knowledge that you will be truly blessed in the experience.
The ministry is also in desperate need of persons who can drive the Suburban while pulling the fully loaded 10-foot trailer. You could volunteer at your convenience and commit only to the days/times that work for you. There is a great need for drivers during the week and on Saturdays. Please consider if this is a way you can contribute to the continued success of this ministry. It is an important part and just may be how God can use you.
We have been very busy completing moves which I will share with you through the gallery of pictures below. These moves were for Robert on 2/11, Franklin on 3/11, Willie on 3/18, and Christopher and Jeremiah on 3/18. In between these moves, we have had furniture items delivered to Reginald, Rael, Jeffrey, and Jerelyn.
When you support this ministry financially, you are answering with a loud and resounding “yes” to God’s call. Grateful appreciation is sent out Donna D., Cheril, Katie, Viad & Ben, Pam, Kathy N., Pat F., Pat K., Thelma, Denise, Thresiana, Jim, Max & Marilyn, Christine, Mary O., Friday Afternoon Club, Jenny, Sarah, and Bob. May you always know blessings beyond measure for your generosity and compassion.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege to serve with all of you. Please see the email for the next moves that are scheduled.

I pray that you may grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge. Ephesians 3:17-19
