Dear Bridges to Home Ministry Friends:
This time of year is often a time of stepping back from the constant pace of moves and taking care of the necessary housekeeping associated with running a ministry of this size. Inventory is reviewed, bookkeeping and reconciliation for another fiscal year occur, and equipment maintenance is a must. Budgets for the service providers from which we receive referrals have often just been funded for another fiscal year, and their various committees meet to decide the best ways to utilize money received and allocate the funds.
During this time we reflect on many things, including the wonder that Bridges to Home has been in successful operation for 5 1/2 years. Over that time the amount of support has exponentially increased. We have completed 214 moves that include hundreds of adults and children whose lives have been positively impacted by the ministry. We are well-funded thanks to the generosity of so many of you sharing your treasure with others who are in need as well as some successful grant writing. We celebrate the addition of the third storage unit this year and also that we are at full capacity of furniture and household goods in all units. The team members for all facets of the ministry are thriving, and overall we are in a place of great blessing and extreme gratitude to the Holy Spirit for being our ever present guiding light.
Mark Eazell was kind enough to order and install signs identifying the storage units at Cable Airport with "Bridges to Home" signage. He also ordered a sign for the trailer that we use in every move so anyone seeing us traveling to and from moves will know who we are. Please browse the two photos below to see our proudly displayed additions. Mark, thanks ever so much for your time and talent in blessing us with this wonderful gesture!!
We pray that you all are having a fun-filled summer and continue to enjoy being a part of Bridges to Home. Please feel free to contact me with any questions/suggestions. Your thoughts are always appreciated. Bye for now.
Mary
