Bridges to Home Friends:
A new year has been gifted to us and we are excited about the possibilities and potential it holds for each of us personally and for St. Anthony Bridges to Home.
Thank you for being such an important part in another year of compassionate giving of yourself, your finances, your talent, and your prayers so whole heartedly. Thank you for caring in such unselfish ways for people you have never met and probably never will. Knowing we are all children of God under the same sky is a beautiful concept. None of us is in this life alone; we are all bound together in the Love of Christ, and you have shown that beyond explanation. You have fed people physically and spiritually, furnished their homes and their sense of self-confidence, and given hope to them and their families in monumental ways. You have impacted their lives in a way only you could do, for God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and it was to interact with the people referred to St. Anthony Bridges to Home exactly as you did.
It was a rigorous year keeping up with the many referrals we received, but our faithful teams made it happen. We completed 64 moves in 2022. (Sharon, can you hear Dale telling you we would do a maximum of 3-4 per year when you started this journey?) You worked hard to assist 77 adults and 28 children toward a better life because you cared. You helped single Moms, families, and many, many veterans from all branches of the military toward a second chance at a life of self-reliance and belief in themselves.
There are so many opportunities for which we are grateful. We thank JoAnn and Jim for the choosing Bridges to Home as their charity for the Claremont Art Walk benefit. Thanks to Max & Marilyn, Pam, Bill & Carol, Kathy N., and Jenny for their faithful regular support of the ministry. We thank Thelma, Frank & Tricia, Ed, Bob Mc., Rob & Angela, Pat K., Barbara M., Donna K., Charlie, and Jim & Christine for stepping up when they felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit. We thank Mary Ann for funding the grocery gift cards we give to every individual and family we assist. We thank members of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints for inviting us to join the Nativity, Art, and Music Festival and for all of the generous donations that resulted from that event. Officials of the Ontario Elks Lodge #1419 for meeting Sharon and I at Cable Airport to present us with a very generous donation, for the great conversation we had together, for taking several pictures of that meeting, and for presenting them to the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin and San Bernardino Sun where we made the headlines on December 30th. Thanks Jerry for facilitating that wonderful event!
The impact St. Anthony Bridges to Home has made over the last 9+ years is quantifiable by the number of moves completed and the number of adults and children assisted. But we will never know the full impact on lives that were touched by these adults and children because you came to their aid. We are all looking for the good in this world, and you are that good.
I look forward to 2023 and, with complete surrender to the Holy Spirit, there is no telling what heights we will reach seeking the will of God in this ministry.
I wish you many blessings and abundance in this new year.
Please see the email for information on the next move scheduled. Your continued help is needed and I thank you in advance.
Mary
