A milestone is defined as an action or event marking a significant stage in development. Synonyms for the word are breakthrough, landmark occasion, turning point. Milestones are fundamental markers that signify major accomplishments, pivotal events, or the completion of key deliverables within a project’s timeline.
St. Anthony Bridges to Home surpassing 500 moves is a milestone!! At our beginning in October 2013, it was believed that we would complete 2-3 moves per year. Once the fires of commitment and compassion grew, the floodgates opened to monumental efforts and innumerable labors of love over these past 11 years. On average, we currently complete 50+ moves per year.
These 500+ moves are not just a statistic. These moves have impacted the lives of 588 adults and 618 children in ways that are unfathomable. A cataclysmic shift occurred on their move-in day that lifted their despair and guided their lives into dimensions they could not imagine. Adults could focus on job training and education, addiction rehab, and a furnished place to call home. Children who were living on the streets and in their cars were given the chance to go to school groomed and proud to divest themselves of the stigma of homelessness.
.
Our thanks to the Holy Spirit, upon whom we depend for the strength, ability, wisdom, and compassion to continue to accomplish our mission to end homelessness one move at a time. With your partnership, we have made it this far. With your continued support, SABTH will become stronger and better at what we do as we seek to do the will of God and be the hands and feet of Christ on this earth.
The Impact of Milestones
This organization simply could not function without your financial backing. Post-inflation expenses have increased and we are grateful for your kind generosity in keeping the shopping carts full. We have increased the amount of grocery gift cards we give to our referrals because groceries are so much more expensive now. Thank you for generously responding when I email. Your reward awaits you on earth for sharing from your treasure, and In Heaven since the Lord sees and is glad. Thank you to Barbara & Dan, Denise, Jenny, Mary D., Michael T., Pat K., Pam S., Barbara M., Carol & Bill, Bob Mc., Pat F., Kathy & Bob N., Max & Marilyn, Christine F., Robin, Raquel, Mary O., and Frank & Tricia.
Lord, thank you for the guidance and strength You have provided these past 11 years. We ask for the strength to step into the unknown with surrendered faith in You; help to rise up when we stumble, and give us the grace to treat ourselves and others with respect and love. Encourage us to look forward to the future with hope and excitement, knowing You will always light the way. We are thankful for the friends whoYou put in our path. May we receive them with open arms, knowing that all the love we give and receive in this world comes from You.
